Heard this verse in a Bible study tonight:

Galatians 6:9  So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.

Wow.  So relevant to our life today.  Yours and mine.  So easy to become weary in well doing.  Especially if it’s sourced in us.  We are not a good source.  That’s why God is so faithful to bring us to the end of ourselves.

Isn’t it great that we don’t have to be the source of our well doing.

Today I was reading Exodus 3:1-12  from my scripture reading in Authority and Submission.  It is so amazing that God chose Moses at this time.  Moses had something in his heart for a long time.  But his power/ authority for his call was sourced in himself when he killed the Egyptians and then lectured his brother Jews.

Haven’t we all been there.

Isn’t it so, so, so, so, so incredible that God doesn’t disqualify us for having our strength sourced in ourselves.  I guess it doesn’t really matter where our source is if it’s the wrong source.  It’s just the wrong source.  Even when we are doing good things.

He still chooses to use us.  Thank You, God.

What is the right source?

Jesus Christ.  Can’t. go. wrong. there.

I was also reading about King Amaziah in 2 Chronicles.  Another story to which we can relate.

He did what was right in the Lord’s sight but not completely.

He was sourced in God to get the victory and the very thing God blessed Amaziah with became his god/ his source.

Wow.  Haven’t we all been there.

God let You and You alone be my source.  And since I’m human, please show me when I’m not sourced in You (those 50 million times a day).
