I’m convinced that to have soul-wellness, to have found the life I’ve dreamt of, has been worth the cost. To find such life is worth any cost. God doesn’t demand our suffering as an exchange for this blessing. Oh no, He is kind and merciful. Yet in His mercy, He sometimes allows us to suffer so we can shake off the things that crowd our thoughts, weigh heavy on our heart, and keep us from Him. But giving ourselves completely to Him in utter abandon and faith allows us to receive life – life that cannot be shrouded by darkness, silenced by deafness, or stilled by paralysis.
