So many things to be grateful for as we are so fortunate to be given life today and everyday! I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year filled with the love of God and the joy and peace only He can bring. I pray you will allow Him to reveal Himself and show His hand in your life like never before (that is my own prayer for this new year). As I listen to my dog go postal on a passerby, my husband sleep beside me and knowing my little boy is taking a much needed nap in the next room, I give praise to God for all of the blessings and my messes He turns into messages. To God by the glory for the things He has done!

Evil or Just Mean
Mean stepparents are a pet peeve of mine. We just happened to be in ear-shot of one while in Augusta this afternoon. He, his wife, his baby, an older woman and a nine year old stepson were together as a grouping. The stepfather would not get off the kid’s back. Within in a few minute span he told the nine year old that he had buck teeth, to sit up straight, he should never take him out along with a bunch of other things I was trying to hear and block out at the same. It was a battle within me not to go up to the guy and say, “Buddy, you chose the situation, he didn’t. Be a man and leave the boy alone.” I can only imagine this nine year old boy will never measure up to his little brother. I earnestly and honestly prayed this little boy would receive the love of God to compensate for the complex he will receive from his parental situation.

Playing
Love this photo from last Christmas.
Aunt Stace made us a delicious meal at grandmother’s last night. Henry entertained us by pointing out all the animals (in pictures and decorations) around Great-Grammie’s house. Since the day after Christmas he has been saying, “Cow. Moooooooooooooooo!” So cute. When we were getting ready to go he entertained us by walking around in Great-Grampa’s boots. Great-Grampa wasn’t there which was very disappointing to Henry since he is one of his favorite people, if not THE FAVORITE.
Blurry but funny.
Playing is hard work.
Happy 86th Birthday to my Grandfather!
