You Are Right!

If you think you are not worthy to do God’s work, you are right.

If you think I am not worthy to do God’s work, you are right.

Isaiah 1:5-6

5 Why should you be stricken again?
      You will revolt more and more.
      The whole head is sick,
      And the whole heart faints.
6 From the sole of the foot even to the head,
There is no soundness in it,
But wounds and bruises and putrefying sores;
      They have not been closed or bound up,
      Or soothed with ointment.

Jeremiah 17:9

9 “ The heart is deceitful above all things,
      And desperately wicked;
      Who can know it?

John 6:63

63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing.

In my flesh (my natural man) I can do nothing to please God.  It doesn’t matter how talented, beautiful, good, intelligent I am in my flesh.  It is all vanity before the Lord.

BUT…

Galatians 2:20

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

It is no longer I, but Christ who lives within who does the work when I operate in the power of the Holy Spirit.  It doesn’t matter how GOOD or how BAD I am in my flesh because neither of them represent life to God or to other people.  It’s the Spirit of God in us the that brings life.

Phil 4:13

13 I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.

So you and I cannot or are not worthy to do anything for God.  But don’t qualify yourself or qualify me because WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST.  Read it:  ALL.  ALL.  ALL.

2Cor. 12:9

9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

SO – If you feel unworthy, maybe that’s exactly where God wants you to be, so His strength can be made perfect in your weakness and HE can get ALL the glory.  Not me.  Not you.
